Alabaster is a city in the Zamastanian Province of Cayenne, and has a total population of 172,872. The city is a major tourist destination for its warm climate and beaches along the Olympic Ocean. For historic, cultural and geographic reasons the city has long been considered one of the province's four main centers. Alabaster contains one of the largest railway junctions in the country with its three stations—Alabaster Central, Thorst Station and Tobrass. The city was the sight of the ratification of the Alabaster Treaty on March 29th, 2001 which established the Western Euronia Defense Alliance. Alabaster has a diverse economy which includes manufacturing, publishing, tourism and technology-based industries. However, the mainstay of the city's economy remains centered around tertiary education with the University of Alabaster.
