Donaldson is a neighborhood located in western Tofino as part of its main downtown districts, on the northern shore of Jericho Bay across from Delk, bordered by Jericho to the east, Collingwood to the north, and Congressional Park to the west. Donaldson is home to the Tofino Central Business District, and is the leading financial center in the world, as the Tofino Stock Exchange is the world's largest stock exchange by total market capitalization. The neighborhood is home to some of the city's most prominent buildings, including the tallest tower in Zamastan (the fourth-tallest in the world), and many other prominent skyscrapers. Donaldson is one of the largest central business districts in the world and ranks among the world's most expensive locations for real estate; 50th Avenue has commanded the world's highest retail rents, with average annual rents at ℤ3,000 per square foot (ℤ32,000/m2) in 2017. Donaldson, and adjoining Collingwood, is the country's largest commercial, entertainment, and media center, and also a growing fintech center.
The majority of Tofino's skyscrapers, including its tallest hotels and apartment towers, are in Donaldson and Collingwood. The area hosts commuters and residents working in its offices, hotels, and retail establishments, tourists and students. Donaldson is connected to Delk via the Garden Bridge.
