The Security Service of the Ahranaian Federation, also known as SNB, is the Ahranaian Federation's Domestic Counter-Intelligence and Security Agency that is part of its Intelligence Machinery along side the Ahranaian Directorate of Intelligence (ADI), Government Communications Headquarters, Defence Intelligence Core, and the Joint Intelligence Community of Ahrana, and the Service is dound by the Security Service Act of 2001. The Service is asked and directed to protect Ahranaian Democracy and Economic Intrestsis, and Counter Terrorism and Espionage within the Ahranaian Federation.

Since the dissolution of the former Security Services, the National Security Service Bureau of the Ahranaian Federation, the Security Service has taken over the former role of that Agency. The main goal of the Security Service is to protect the Ahranaian Citizens at home while the ADI focuses more on aboard and carries out the other duties the SNB will not.

Organization

The Security Service is under the Authority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs which is part of the Federal Government of the Federation. The Service is headed by the Director General of the Security Services, Eva Amalie, who is under the grade of Permanent Secretary in the Ahranaian Civil Service who is assisted by all Internal Security Services, Judicial Services and the Federal Police Commissioner.

The Service is directed by the Joint Intelligence Community of Ahrana along with the Government Communications HQ and the Defense Intelligence Core and several other bodies in the Ahranaian Government. The Congressional Committee of Intelligence oversees the Security Service, who in-return are appointed by the Chancellor and State Councilor from both Houses to create a joint Committee to oversee. The Ministry of Justice has oversight in the Clause of the Security Service Act of 2001 in the area of Investigatory Powers of Tribunal.

Structure

The Security Service follows a structure different from other Intelligence Agencies that have existed in Ahrana, compared to the ADI the Security Service leaves the Military Structure behind to adopt a different approach. The Security Service draws its personnel from all pools of people ranging from Military Servicemen/women, Civilians, Former Politicians, and regular Citizens. They all follow a structure that the Director General has adopted, the Office of Director General being the highest in the Service and the lowest is Trainee. The Security Service does rely on Agents in the Field and out of the Field to complete its everyday actions. Agents are ranked by longevity, Private Agent, Junior Agent, Senior Agent, and Expert Agent, usually after Expert Agent is reached the Agents are put to a Desk to do the Research or covert Operations or sometimes sent to the Counter-Terrorism Unit.
