Nadia Jane Louise Burnett (née Little, born 20 September 1980) is a Gallambrian politician who served as the 58th Prime Minister of Gallambria and leader of the Liberal Party from 2018 to 2024. She was first elected to the House of Representatives as the member of Parliament (MP) for Colyers.
Born in Royal Carrick, Burnett attended St Mary's All Girls School. After graduating from St John's College in 2001, Burnett worked as a policy officer in the office of Prime Minister {?}. She later worked in Selbourne as an advisor to the Gallambrian Ambassador to Seylos. In 2009, she was elected president of the Adlantic Democratic Youth Forum. Following the death of the incumbent MP for Colyers Michael Steadman, Burnett was elected to represent Colyers electorate in a by-election on 10 October 2009.
Burnett was elected as deputy leader of the Gallambrian Liberal Party on 2 July 2014, following the dismissal of Elizabeth Heathering-Tate. Following the shock resignation of Sir Anthony Greenwald as Prime Minister in 2018, Burnett was elected unopposed as leader in his place. She was sworn in as Prime Minister by King Albert II on 7 April 2018. The Liberal's support increased rapidly after Burnett became Prime Minister.
Burnett describes herself as a liberal conservative. The current Liberal government has focused particularly on domestic and regional child poverty, social inequality, Marenai identity, and national security. Following the {?} Tamworth bombings, Burnett was quick to recommend a Royal Commission into the failings of the Gallambrian intelligence community, which lead to massive reforms affecting both civilian and military intelligence agencies.
