The President of the Alþingi is the head of the Legislature of the Federal Republic of Hveradalur who prosides over every legislative session of the federal parliament of Hveradalur, the functions of the President is similar to the Speaker of the House as in some other Eurth Nations.

the President of the Alþingi is the second person in the Order of Precedence when looking at the Presidential Succession. With that the President of the Alþingi is considered independent from the executive government.
