Organization

Commander-in-chief and head of the armed forces is Her Majesty Queen Eva I. According to the constitution, the armed forces are subordinate to the Crown. However, this power is qualified by the requirement for parliamentary consent to the maintaining of the armed forces and Parliament's approval of supply of funds. Constitutional convention, however, has vested de facto executive authority, by the exercise of Royal Prerogative powers, in the Secretary of State for Defence.

The administrative body of the armed forces is the Great Queendom's Defence Ministry. However, the General Staff mostly acts as the main commanding and supervising body of the armed forces. The Chief of the General Staff is the chief of staff of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Great Queendom of Suverina.[2] He is appointed by the commander-in-chief, Her Majesty. Current chief of the General Staff is Field marshal Nikolai Dănilă. The chief of staff also acts as main military advisor to the Queen and the Defence Ministry.[1]

Structure

The Armed Forces of the Great Queendom of Suverina consists of seven branches:

  1. Ground Forces (Forţele Terestre)
  2. Air Force (Forţele Aeriene)
  3. Navy (Forţele Navale)
  4. Strategic Rocket Forces (Forţele Strategice de Rachete)
  5. Aerospace Defence Forces (Forţelor de Apărare Aerospațiale)
  6. Airborne Troops (Trupe Aeropurtate)

Ground Forces

The Ground Forces of Suverina (Forţele Terestre) are primarily responsible for the protection of the Queendom's borders, combat on land, the security of occupied territories, and the defeat of enemy troops. The Ground Forces must be able to achieve these goals both in war that includes the use of weapons of mass destruction, especially without the use of weapons of mass destruction. Furthermore, they must be capable of protecting the national interests of the Great Queendom at home and abroad if necessary.

The Ground Forces organizes all First-line units of the land forces. The Second-line land forces are organized by the National Defence League. The Main Command of the Ground Forces consists of the Main Staff of the Ground Troops, and departments for Peacekeeping Forces, Armaments of the Ground Troops, Rear Services of the Ground Troops, Cadres of the Ground Troops, Indoctrination Work, Military Education, Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence Troops of the Armed Forces, Engineer Troops and Troop Air Defence, as well as several others not worthy to be mentioned.

The Ground Forces are divided into two parts. The main part is the standing army, with its bulk mostly made up of conscripts undergoing military service. But a large part of it is made up of professional soldiers and the Suverin Foreign Legion. The second part is the army reserve, which is divided into the active reserve and the regular reserve.

Air Force

The primary tasks of the Air Force of Suverina (Forţele Aeriene) are: winning operational air superiority, delivering air strikes against enemy units and facilities, covering troops against enemy air strikes, providing air support to the other branches, disrupting enemy military and state management, damaging and destroying enemy communication, and providing support by air in the form of reconnaissance, air drops, troops, and cargo transportation.

Navy

The role of the navy of Suverina (Forţele Navale) is to protect the interests of Suverina at home and abroad, conducting combat operations at sea and ocean theatres of war, executing the foreign and defence policies of Her Majesty's Government. This is to be achieved through the exercise of military effect, diplomatic activities and other activities in support of these objectives.

As the Great Queendom has declared the Raga Sea as its sphere of influence, and that its naval dominance in that sea shall not be threatened by any power, unless authorized by Her Majesty's government. The dominant role of the Suverin Royal Navy is to upkeep dominance in the Raga Sea and discourage any foreign power trying to threaten it. The Great Queendom does recognize that the Great Holy Empire of Tagmatium has a certain right to conduct unauthorized naval operations in the northern part of the Raga Sea. But if these operations are conducted in order to secure or protect the canal.

The navy is divided into:

  • Surface Fleet
  • Submarine Service
  • Fleet Air Arm
  • Coastal Troops
    • Coastal missile and artillery
    • Marine Infantry

Strategic Rocket Forces

LAROM multiple rocket launchers.

The Strategic Rocket Forces of Suverina (Forţele Strategice de Rachete) are responsible for the country's strategic deterrent and missile defence capabilities. The main role is to deter potential aggression against Suverina and to defeat strategic targets located in one or more strategic airspace areas, including enemy military and economic infrastructure. It employs large-scale, group or single missile attacks to achieve these objectives. The branch operates a variety of missile systems, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, submarine-launched ballistic missiles and land-based cruise missiles. The SRFS is led by a commander who reports to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Suverina.

Aerospace Defence Forces

The Aerospace Defence Forces of Suverina (Forţelor de Apărare Aerospațial) is a relatively new branch of the Armed Forces of the Great Queendom, which is responsible for the defence of Suverina's airspace and outer space. It was created to address the increasing importance of air and space defence in modern warfare and to safeguard Suverina's sovereignty in these domains. The branch is composed of a number of different units, including fighter squadrons, air defence units, and surveillance units.

Airborne Troops

The Airborne troops of Suverina (Trupe Aeropurtate) are specialized ground combat units that are transported to battle zones by aircraft and dropped into the area by parachute or air assault. These soldiers, known as paratroopers, are trained in parachute jumping and other techniques specific to airborne operations. The main advantage of airborne forces is their ability to rapidly deploy into a combat zone without the need for land passage, as long as the airspace is accessible. The size of an airborne force is limited only by the number and capacity of their transport aircraft, allowing them to appear "out of the sky" behind enemy lines in a matter of hours or even minutes. This tactic is known as vertical envelopment. However, airborne forces have limited supplies and are mostly used to establish an airhead for larger forces to follow and carry out other combat objectives. Some infantry fighting vehicles have also been modified for paradropping with infantry, providing additional firepower to the airborne unit.

National Defence League

A National Defence League of Suverina (Liga Naţională de Apărare) is an armed force within Suverina that is composed of citizens who volunteer to serve in times of national emergency or defence. These individuals are not full-time professional soldiers, but rather civilians who receive (regular) military training and can be called upon to defend the country. The National Defence League is considered a reserve force and is intended to supplement the Suverina's regular armed forces in times of need. The organization's main goal is to provide an additional source of manpower.

Military service

The Great Queendom has very strict and extensive laws regarding military service. The military service law affects all fit citizens, both men and female, between the ages of 17 and 70.

Obligatory military training begins during the twelfth birth year and is organised by the schools in cooperation with the military. Basic military training is conducted once a month and during the summer all children must attend a three-week military camp.

At the age of seventeen, all citizens are eligible for conscription. Between the age of fifteen and eighteen, all citizens are required to serve part-time with the National Defence League.

When of the age of eighteen, all citizens are drafted for service in the armed forces. All male citizens serve for 42 months and all female for 36 months.

When the military service has been completed, all citizens must serve two years in the active reserve. Refresher training is then held regularly. When at the age of 50, citizens are no longer obliged to serve in the First-line units and are transferred to the National Defence League.

Oath of Allegiance

When citizens reach the age of fifteen and begin their service with the National Defence League they take an oath of allegiance. The oath is taken once again when citizens are drafted for military service.

The Suverin Fidelity and Allegiance Oath:

"I do promise and swear, by God Almighty and His Holy Gospels, that I always shall be to my true Queen, the Magnificent Ruler, Queen Eva of the Great Queendom of Suverina, and also the Royal House, true and faithful. I shall also with my life and blood defend the Royal form of government as wells as Parliaments rights; all in accordance with the Realms Constitution, which I always shall follow and obey. This I promise to upkeep on my honour and conscience, so help me God to life and spirit."
