August Protests

The August Protests are part of the founding myth of The Republic of Pentium, which saw the citizens of several major and minor cities enact a nationwide protest against the rule of the monarchy. Resulting in the following September revolt, which saw Saltbrook Channel rise in open revolt against the leadership of the king. After several years of prolonged fighting, the king and his forces would surrender to the revolutionaries and establish a ruling council within the city of Saltbrook Channel. Eventually leading to the founding of the Republic of Pentium, and the dissolution of the North River Federation.
