The flag of Espalia (Espalian: Espalexen lippu, 慖的 旗) is a national symbol of Espalia. It is a vertical triband with blue outer bands and a single white center band, defaced with the coat of arms of Espalia in the center.
The flag was adopted in the 19th century during the Kingdom of Espalia, although without the coat of arms. The flag remained unchanged after the Republican Revolution of 1931, but after the May Revolution of 1955, a new redesigned coat of arms with the torch symbol of the Espalian National Unity Party was added to the flag.
Since the May Revolution, the flag of the Espalian National Unity Party, featuring a blue banner with an off-centered golden laurel wreath a torch and a handshake, has been increasingly used together with the national flag. A plain blue flag, symbolizing Espalian socialism, is also often used by state institutions. Various bloc parties and mass organizations also have their own flags.
