Himaya

Jump to navigation Jump to search

The term Himaya is most predominately used in Azania to mean an Empire that primarily expands through surrounding its core territories with tributary states of varying autonomy.[a] This is different to regular empires, as Himayas very rarely try to convert tributaries to their core culture or religions (although this still happens on occasion). Instead, the Himaya uses its tributaries as secondary resource pools and buffer states.
