Iain Callahan is the 37th President of the Republic of Pentium, and current head of the House of Callahan. One of the few ancient houses of the Republic, he has a few ties to the royal families that used to rule over Pentium. Born in Whedon's Row in 1946, and attended the Whedon's Row Military Academy as a child. His education was cut short during the 1961 conscription wave during the Great War, he turned 16 during his basic training and was sent to the eastern front during the collapse of the Southern Union's frontline. Iain would follow the frontline down, being wounded once in the right leg. After the war ended, Iain returned from service after two years in 1964 and completed his education. Staying within the military until 1970, he retired as a 1st Sub-Marshal. After the military, Iain went on to be a police officer in Whedon's Row for several years afterward, before retiring in 2000. Moving into politics, he was elected to the city council in Whedon's Row in 2002 and served there until 2010. Elected as an MP for one of the districts in Whedon's Row in 2012 two years before the Sunhaven Agreements were signed into law, Callahan would be privy to the practices of the Sunhaven Corporate Concern Party, and would constantly cities and belittle their policies. Being so openly vocal, and having been a public figure for such a long period, Iain was appointed to be the leader of the Conservative Party of Pentium in 2016 and would greatly expand the voting base of the CPP. Winning more seats than the SCC, he was elected as the President of the Republic. Despite the office having less power than ever due to Corporate interference, he would still manage to empower the government. This came to ahead in 2023 when he tore up the Sunhaven Accords, and causing a civil war. After the government's victory, he would call a snap election and win even more seats in parliament.
