The Border Guards (Caerlanni Mealliagian: Gardaí Teorann; GT) of Caerlannach are a decentralized paramilitary organization established in 1998 after the establishment of the Autonomous Tribes. Formed by tribal councils, the Border Guards operate as autonomous units under the authority of individual tribes to secure territorial borders, maintain order, and protect local interests.

Comprising approximately 15,000 volunteers from tribesman, the Border Guards lack a unified national command, reflecting Caerlannach's tribal-based governance. Each tribal unit recruits, trains, and deploys its forces independently, often employing local knowledge to patrol remote and rugged landscapes. Their responsibilities include monitoring territorial boundaries, preventing smuggling, and defending against incursions or disputes with neighboring territories.
