Charleston (Welsch: Charlesburg) is the largest and capital city of PyeMcGowan, it has a population of 10,660,430 (2017) and is narrowly the largest city in Argis, just ahead of Tiraspol, Dniester. The city is easily the most populous province of PyeMcGowan, with 15 million in the greater Charleston Area, including the Cities of Aildaw, Lefterson, Swanmor, and the Government Capital, Wessington. This makes Charleston the Financial, population and political hub for the nation. The City is located in a natural harbor along the Auraid Bay, bringing less snowfall than the rest of the nation at peak times.

Economy

Finance

Numerous international banks are headquartered in Charleston. NCBC and UBS are the largest, with Royal Auraid also having a Headquarters on Charlesburg Island. The City is also the world Headquarters for PyeMcGowan’s largest company, the United Corporation, which recently sold its Headquarters Complex, The Unitsen Centre, in favour of the new Auraid Trade Centre, at the south-western tip of the island. United Bank has its headquarters directly opposite the ATC in Newport. The city also plays host to the two largest stock exchanges in the Auraid Bay, with the Charleston Stock Exchange, on Galles Street in the Financial District, And Auronet’s Main Building in Market Square.
