Captain Platone De Vincenzi (20 December 1507 - 12 October 1565) was a Limonaian explorer, captain, and soldier who was a large contributor to the Limonaian occupation of Alenveil that led from 1534 - 1902. He was a leader in The Whirlpool War and helped to purge Alenveil from their native culture, and replace it with Limonaian culture. He leads as a direct leader until he died in 1565 from a fever. Many Alenian citizens refer to De Vincenzi as a hero for helping to bring the country into a proto-state. Some natives, however, harbor a strong hatred for De Vincenzi because of the purge of their culture and forcing the natives into slave labor for years.
Through all this adversity, however, he helped pave the way for Limonaia to become a colonial power and form their colonial empire. Leading Limonaia through The Whirlpool War, he was generally hated by many of the natives because of his violent actions. He kept a strong grip on them, however, and helped to keep a grip on insurrections and rebellions throughout the colony, and lead them through in their early years as a colony.
