Kaslund is the capital and most populous city of Littland. It has a population of 2.5 million (2020) and is located on the Arup River. The city is made up of 14 districts, managed by the Kaslund City Council currently lead by mayor Lars Klitgaard (GF).
The area of modern Kaslund was settled by the Littish people around 100CE and grew rapidly thanks to trade flowing along the Arup. By 1050 Kaslund solidified its position as the dominant Littish settlement as Einar the Great made it the capital of Littia.
Following the County Reform of 2004, Kaslund became a special municipality, a municipality with the responsibilities of a county and the Kaslund City Council was expanded to 45 seats to follow other counties.
In the present day, Kaslund is the economic, cultural and political center of Littland. Its landmarks include Tinghuset, home of the Folkekammer, the Kaslund Metropolitan Cathedral as well as the Technical University of Littland.
