The Dolchic Baltian people are an ethnically and culturally Dolchic group inhabiting the northern shores of the Intrian Sea, primarily in Transbaltia where they make up 31% of the population. Dolchic Baltians dominate Transbaltia politically and economically. Despite making up less than a third of the population they control more than two thirds of the wealth, and since 1500 every Baltian duke has been a Dolchic Baltian, along with a majority of members of the Transbaltian Nobility.
Dolchic Baltians first began appearing in Transbaltia in the 14th century, when Dolchic merchants began trading along the Intrian coast. Soon, large groups of people migrated from Dolchland and other Dolchic territories to Transbaltia, with many Dolchic nobles intermarrying with local Baltian rulers.
