Pierre Fitzkennedy Monroe is a Delamarian Politician, and was President of Delamaria from December 2016 to November 2020, upon his death in the November 22nd Attacks. Monroe was Vice President under President Herbert Walker-Busch from 2008 to 2016, and Governor of Radnor from 1996 to 2008.
Monroe was born to a wealthy family in Bodmonton, the eldest of five children, most of which would go on to work for his family's business Monroe International. He began his political career as a State senator of the United Party in Radnor in 1982, then becoming Lieutenant-Governor and later Governor in 1996. As governor of Radnor, Monroe was a leading supporter of revitalisation of infrastructure, gay and women's rights, and education reform. This popular cause lead him to be chosen as then senator Herbert Walker-Busch's running mate in the 2008 Election, in which they won a resounding 68% of the vote. After two terms as Vice President, Monroe won the United Party's nomination for President in the 2016 Election, in which he won by a smaller 59.5% of the vote.
Monroe had a bachelors degree in Politics from the University of Yorkerdam, and has received 15 honorary degrees both domestically and internationally, and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
