From writings around the time of the event, most of which are recorded by there Córda neighbors, say that the Jarldom was created out of what was the larger [[Jarldom of Gotnii]], and because of political and religious beliefs spite the Jarldom into two West & East. The eastern Jarldom being much more tyrant towards there new Christian friends. As East Gotnii had a much larger [[Córda|Cordic]] population then it’s western half did, as the west wasn’t as merciful to the lands native inhabitants.
