The Nationalrat (Alemannisch: [nat͡si̯oˈnaːlˌʁaːt]) is the national parliament of Schennland. It is unicameral and consists of 225 members, who are elected by universal suffrage under party-list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method with a 6% electoral threshold.
During the most recent elections in 2020, the National Conservative Party (NKP) became the largest party in the Nationalrat, and formed a center-right coalition with the Agrarian-Democratic Alliance (AA). The parties in opposition are the Demcratic Party (DP), Social Democracy Now! (SJ), the Party for Schennish Gemotamism (PSG), and the Schennish Christian Democrats (SC).
