The 1951 Delamarian General Election was called by Prime Minister James Penwright for June 10th, 1951, it was the first election since the end of the National regime. The Liberal party, temporarily led by James Basil, won the plurality of seats, though failed to win a majority. All major parties bar the People's party agreed to support Penwright's reconstruction government, rather than try to form a government themselves.
