Kacheru is divided into many provinces, which each have unique administrative structure due to the complicated nature of Kacherun politics. All provinces have a central lord or ruling family which manages certain aspects of government affairs. Usually, however, their role is primarily delegated to other political bodies, where they instead serve an advisory function. Uniquely, Ja-Myeong is managed centrally as a direct province of the Empress and has no other governing bodies.

Kacheru is a Unitary Consitutional Monarchy within central Alharu located around Chenshas Lake. The capital of Kacheru is Seongdosu, which is situated in the eastern mountains of Kacheru. Kacheru is primarily ethnically Kacherun, though has a significant demographic contribution from Fulgistani groups. While the state government of Kacheru is officially secular, Kacheru has a significant Salamid and Ilsejohani population, in addition to the practice of other faiths. To this day there still exist nomadic groups who primarily participate within Kacheru's agrigultural industry.

History

Early Settlement

The first evidence of human settlement in modern-day Kacheru dates back to the Mesolithic era, though archeological evidence nearby indicates it was likely settled during the late Paleolithic era after the human invention of sailing boats.

During the Neolithic Era, pastoralism grew in popularity, a practice which became widely popular across the West-Alharun steppe lands. This practice spread into the territory which is now known as Kacheru.

Yellow Empire and Jinheon States

Simultaneously, during the rise of the Yellow Empire, precursors to the Jinheon States began to form in its northwestern periphery. Deriving methods of governance from the nearby Yellow Empire, various warlords would claim and fight over territory across and including what is now modern day Kacheru. Ultimately, these states tended to be volatile and short-lived, typically lasting the span of only fifty years before succumbing to external attacks from neighboring warlords. This particular span of time lasted from approximately 300 BCE to 250 CE, where the region stabilized into the Jinheon States.
