The First Stedorian Republic, known in Stedoria simply as the First Republic (Stedorian: Repüblik Balid), also referred to as Revolutionary Stedoria, and officially the Stedorian Republic (Stedorian: Repüblik Stedoriänik / Püblig Stedoränik), was founded on 3 April 1793 immediately before the First Stedorian Revolution. The First Republic would last until 1818, when it would be overthrown and dissolved following EVENT NAME, with the monarchy being re-established in Stedoria.
The pre-revolutionary period of the Republic would be characterised by extreme corruption by the nobility and public discontent among the commoners. The immediate post-revolutionary phase would be characterised by the establishment of a revolutionary government, extreme violence against the nobility, aggressive anti-clericalism and dechristianisation, and extreme revolutionary fervour being advocated by the revolutionary regime. The later post-revolutionary phase would see a decline in internal violence, the attempt to export republican value abroad, and continued attempt at maintaining revolutionary zeal.
