The Nyantastani Armed Forces (Nyantan: Försvarsmakten, "the Defense Force") is the government agency that forms the armed forces of Nyantastan, tasked with the defense of the country as well as with promoting Nyantastan´s wider interests, supporting international peacekeeping, and providing humanitarian aid. It consists of the Nyantastani Army, the Nyantastani Air Force and the Nyantastani Navy, as well as a military reserve force. Since 1990, all Nyantastani military branches are organized within a single unified government agency, headed by the Supreme Commander, even though the individual services maintain their distinct identities.
The Nyantastani armed forces is made up of 120 600 active personnel, 59 400 military reserves (2022). 8 200 conscripts (set to increase to 15 000 conscripts by 2024) as of now.
