The 1954 Delamarian General Election was called by Prime Minister James Penwright for June 6th, 1954 after a failure to form a government. The Liberal party of Felix Carcan won the plurality of seats, though failed to win a majority, as had happened with the United party of Logan Leckhampstead in the previous 1953 election. Penwright, after consultation with President Henley Montmaine, decided to appoint Carcan as Prime Minister.
