The Delamarian Security Service, commonly referred to as the DSS or the Service, was a civilian foreign and domestic intelligence service under the Government of Delamaria from 1948 to 2023. The Service was officially tasked with gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from both Delamaria and around the world. The agency primarily operated through human and sattelite intelligence, since it absorbed the Aerial Observation Agency. The DSS was the primary member of the Delamarian Intelligence Council, and reported to the Department of National Security from 2021.

Purpose

The DSS had 5 primary priorities.

  1. Counterterrorism and Counterintelligence
  2. Foreign Intelligence gathering
  3. Supporting Military operations
  4. Providing Information to Government agencies
  5. Cyber Intelligence

Organisational structure

The DSS was lead by the Director of Delamarian Security, a position that was last held by Bruce Axelrod. A deputy served under the director, and below that are the division directorates. There were five directorates in the DSS, they are:

  • Directorate of Observation and Analysis
  • Directorate of Foreign Operations
  • Directorate of Domestic Operations
  • Directorate of Support
  • Directorate of Science, Technology and Cyber-security
