The ZMSL is the highest level of the men's Zaxari soccer league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it is comprised of private clubs owned by a mix of private owners and publically traded firms. Seasons typically run from May to November with each team playing at least 38 matches (playing all 19 other teams both home and away followed by an 8 team tournament). Most games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with occasional weekday evening fixtures.

The ZMSL is one of the most watched leagues in Aurelia and is widely recognized for hosting some of the best clubs in the New Wurld. Clubs regularly host top international players and the majority of the squad for the Zaxar Tomahawks
