The 1978 Delamarian General Election was held on January 14th, 1978. The Social Labour government of Henry Keyes was forced into calling the election by a motion of no confidence in the House of Delegates. Elizabeth Grantham's United party was victorious, earning a sizable majority, ushering in more than a decade of United party rule.
