==== Early 20th Century ====
Mavran emerged during the early 20th Century amidst a time of general optimism and hope for the future. Federalisation movements between Illieux and Farisia had grown massively since the beginning of the century, with the binational Lysolt party, which directly advocated for federal integration between the nations, entering government in 1922 and 1923 for Illieux and Farisia respectively. On 14 May 1924, the Mavranai Unity Referendum passed by a supermajority of 83% in favour of Federation, with a record total turnout of 95% of eligible voters. Unification talks would officially begin two months later and would conclude 14 May 1925, with the conclusion of the Federal Congress of Mavris and the signing of the Federal Mavranai Constitution of 1925. Mavran saw particular political turmoil from Sovereignist Political Action Groups (note: make page for Mavranai Sovereignist political organisations, include Parties and Groups)such as the All-Illieuxnai Independence Group or Vrina Firch Society, as well as Sovereignist political parties such as the Illieuxnai Bastion Party or Farisia Front. This culminated in the Farisian Naval Mutiny of 1926, and a Federal crackdown on Sovereignist organisations through the Order of Stability in late-1926. Sovereignist elements would remain politically active in Mavran for the rest of the decade and in the early years of the 1930's, before losing momentum with the rapidly rising legitimacy of the Mavranai government following the 1927 Federal Election and subsequent Federalisation intiatives implemented by Alexandre Fleur's government.
By the 1927 Federal Elections, most of the Mavranai population could and would listen to FMC radio programmes. Experimental television broadcasts began in 1933 and the first FMC Television Operation began in 1939. Significant progress was made at the time regarding minority discrimination, particularly sexual minority discrimination, with landmark decisions by the FCJ such as Morin v. Farisia. Additionally, socialist agitation grew massively, with the SDF and AST gaining large amounts of seats in Parliament. Left-wing ideology rapidly grew in Mavran throughout the late 1930's and much of the 1940's. Lys Maraud would face the fallout of the most significant scandal in Mavranai history upto that point with the public exposure to the Board of Steel Scandal, which rocked the SDF and led to the election of Delleu Mariocher. The Democratic Socialism of this time in Mavran is now widely-seen as Proto-Martinist, and fears of a transition to a fully socialist economy led to the narrow reelection of Alexandre Fleur to lead a Centre government before the First Argic War.
Mavran saw heavy military buildup during the latter end of the 1940's, with rapid military expansion in response to rising tensions in Argis. After Ahrana invaded Dniester in 1949, Mavran entered the First Argic War on the side of the Periphery Alliance. Alexandre Fleur created a new wartime emergency coalition government involving all Federal Blocs and became its head two months after the start of the war. Despite initial setbacks on the land fronts of the war, Mavran continued the war against the Central Argic Powers. Fleur engaged Mavran in a state of 'total war', taking emergency control over industry, science, engineering, and much of Mavranai life and the economy, in order to further the war effort. In 19xx, the Marine Fédérale (MF) and Force Aérienne Fédérale (FAF) inflicted decisive defeats on CAP naval and air forces in the Battle for the Mediargic. Mavranai shipping and naval logistics suffered heavy losses due to CAP submarine trade interdiction. There were eventual hard-fought victories along the southern Garindinan coast in the Battle outside Yuzhemore, the Battle of Ahrana, and the Dniesterian campaign. Mavranai forces played essential roles in the Yuzhemore landings which pushed the CAP towards a peace agreement, despite initial victories. The Armée Mavranai Fédérale (AMF) led the Raskia-Kauni campaign against Baltica, and the Mavranai Keel Fleet engaged Baltica at sea. (More to include about Baltica campaign (victory?) and nuclear weapons)
===== | ==== Late 20th Century ====
Mavran was greatly affected by the First Argic War. Immediately upon the dissolution of the Fleur Wartime Coalition, an emergency election was held, with the elected FMP's representing the shortest term in Mavranai history, with a special term of three years. Mavran would be rocked with political instability until Maurthim Pilliod's Mandate in 1967, with the country being strongly divided between left-wing and right-wing politics. During Pilliod's Mandate, Pilliod initiated a radical programme of reforms, which greatly impacted Mavranai society and Mavranai leftism in the following decades. Major industries, public utilities, and media were nationalised, a full welfare state was reestablished following its dissolution under Zeraufin, and a publicly-funded healthcare system, the Federal Health Service, was created. Mavran saw a much-heightened economic position, especially with its neutrality in the Second Argic War. Until the end of Gardin's caretaker-mandate and the coming to power of the Morn government, Mavran pursued much closer relations with left-wing nations globally, particular democratic socialist nations such as Advocatius.
Following the First Argic War, succeeding governments greatly encouraged immigration and streamlined processes, resulting in Mavran becoming more of a multicultural and multi-ethnic society in the following decades. Despite a rise in living standards under Pilliod's government, Mavran's economic performance was far less successful than many of its economic competitors in Argis. In 1970, a referendum on abolishing the minimum voting age barely failed to pass, with a vote 49.52% for and 50.48% against. In 1975, Pilliod's government collapsed following the failure to pass a divisive lowering of the military budget, leading to the collapse of the Grand Left Party. From the late 1970's onwards, Arbar began to suffer from communal and paramilitary violence conventially known as the Tumult. It is usually considered to have ended with the 2024 Nevris 'Arbar Conciliation' Agreement. Following a period of significant economic slowdown and strike action in the early 1980's, the Avant! government of the 1980's to 2000's led by Lionelle Morn, the Mavranai representative to the AN from 1973-1977 known prior for her efforts in the Mavranai bid for the ANDPO headquarters, initiated a radical policy of monetarism, deregulation of all sectors including labour markets, mass-privatisation, and a mass withdrawal of subsidies.
(Future footnote for western islands for planned expansion with Garindina. Involvement there) Mavran was significantly involved in the AN during the term of Adrien Maurice, the First Secretary of the Assembled Nations during the 1987-1993 term, with particularly significant involvement in regards to military action against the Alharun Slave Trade and humanitarian action against malaria. Mavranai involvement in the AN would largely fall after Adrien Maurice's descension from the role of First Secretary, however internationalist sentiment greatly spiked in Mavran during this time.
As the millennium ended, major changes erupted in Mavran, particularly mass digitalisation, the revival of the manufacturing industry, increased globalisation and massive implementations of austerity. Mavran remained a regional power in Argis, even as its standing began to gradually fall. Mavranai citizens began to change their opinions of foreign aid significantly, growing far more supportive of the idea following a rapidly successful media campaign by the organisation 'Humanitarians Without Borders'. Mavran entered the year 2000 under the government of Lionelle Morn, although Avant! leadership was growing increasingly unsure after a surprisingly close election between Morn and the SDF candidate Antoine Blair. Morn additionally alluded to potentially seeking closer relations with one of the global superpowers, a significant shift from earlier rhetoric of a 'third-world' Mavran.

The Great Europan Collapse partnered with the 2007 Banking Crisis led to the near complete collapse of the Mavranai economy. The fallout of the Great Europan Collapse had already severely affected the Mavranai economy, however partnered with the 2007 Banking Crisis, it led to a near complete collapse of the economy. The Millieud-Coryn coalition government prioritzed significant government intervention in the economy, which is widely attributed to having saved it from complete collapse. In 2011 the Office of Financial Responsibility took the government before the FCJ in the case OFR v. Fédération Mavranai in which the FCJ ruled that the government is allowed to break the Third Amendment in the case of 'an emergency threatening the continued existence of the Federation'. It is hotly debated amongst economists whether the Mavranai economy ever truly recovered after the 2006-2007 Crisis', particularly as the economy continues to suffer from sluggish growth and chronic underfunding. A referendum on Arbaromo independence in 2015 failed to pass Federal Parliament, being defeated by one vote, 327-328, reigniting tensions in Arbar.
In 2020, ERHWA was established in Mavris, with national funding. The Grand War has slowed down Mavranai-Europan trade considerably, leading to a second economic shock, although new safeguards prevented a crisis on the level of the aftermath of the Great Europan Collapse. The 2021 Economic Crisis is largely seen as the jumping point from which Charois Delleum's 'Progressive New-Left' jumped off from, leading to his historic victory in the 2022 elections. Mavran has remained largely neutral on international affairs, with leadership consistently citing the economic turmoil of recent years as to why.

Mavran, officially the Fédération Mavranai (Anglish: Federation of Mavran), is a sovereign Federation of nations whose territory is in Central Argis on Eurth. The Federation only borders Velika to the East, as well as the Mediargic Sea and Keelpjip. Mavran has a population of approximately 33.2 million, and an area of 134,452 km2 (51,912 sq mi). The Federal Parliament regularly meets in the capital city of Mavris-sur-Rozo (Mavris-on-Rose).
Mavran is divided into three regions, which are further divided into 12 Governates. It is ruled by the Federal Parliament, but currently governed by a coalition government of the Libéraux de Mavranai and Social-Démocrate Front Blocs. The current Prime Minister is Charois Delleum. The Federal Constitution defines the Prime Minister as the 'Head of both State and Government for the Mavranai Federation'.
The land of Mavran was historically populated by a Yasic population, however constant exposure to Lysian culture, goods, ideas, law and society gradually formed several Yaso-Lysian Hybrid cultures, most notably Mavrois, Illieux and Farisian, in a process now known as 'Lysianisation'. When the Kingdoms of Illieux and Farisia collapsed during the Revolutions of 1804, a revolutionary fervour became engrained in the cultures of the populace, which is reflected in the highly-interventionist, pro-democratic stance of Mavran's foreign policy throughout it's existence. The 20th and 21st Century have seen the founding of the Federation, uniting Illieux and Farisia, as well as the steady rise and development of Mavran on the world stage, as well as the increase of Mavranai influence in it's local region. Recently, the Federation has been troubled by ethnic unrest amongst the Arbaromo populace, which is far more Yasic than many of the other cultures of the Federation.
Mavran is a somewhat developed country with a substantial economy, supported by a strong primary-industrial and manufacturing base. The federation is notable for its highly patriotic population, free-market economy, its reverence for its history and armed forces, and a keen interest in the ocean. Mavran is a regional influence and is a member of few multilateral organisations despite its interventionist stance, being a member state of the Assembled Nations.

The Armée Mavranai Fédérale (AMF) led the Raskia-Kauni campaign against Baltica, and the Mavranai Keel Fleet engaged Baltica at sea. (More to include about Baltica campaign (victory?) and nuclear weapons)
Late 20th Century
21st Century
(mention things about Garindina? early democracy involvements)
