Heraldry
The coat of arms of the House of Odell is a black griffin with a crown on a yellow background. The griffin has raised wings and red tongue out of its mouth. The crown was added in the 17th century when the House of Odell came to the throne of Great Anglia. Their coat of arms finds its origins within Occidental mythology. The first example of this coat of arms is a 15th-century image of the griffin above a castle gate in $origin.[2]
