The Flag of Aurivizh (Aurivizht: Banniel Aurivizh) is the National flag of Aurivizh, a white field wih a black stripe and ermine. The current flag is a design based on designs of previous Aurivizht flags (Such as the banner of Aurivizh-Izel), but also less common aspects, most notably the black stripe on the hoist. At first, the flag was adopted by the Aurivizht National Union Party, a highly-nationalist party in Aurivizh led by Turien Rouault. Following the Great Coup by the ANUP, the flag was adopted as the national flag for the entirity of Aurivizh. In 1973, the Ermine was standardised by national decree, which was the final change to the flag ever since.
Description
The flag of Aurivizh is a white field with a stripe of black on the hoist, charged with a black erine. The flag proportions (width:length) are 1:2. The color parameters were defined in August 1988 by the Aurivizht Vexillological Union as the following:
Colour scheme |
Jet Black | Bone White |
---|---|---|
CMYK | 0-0-0-100 | 0-0-0-0 |
Pantone | Black | Safe |
RGB | 0-0-0 | 255-255-255 |
Hex triplet | #000000 | #FFFFFF |
Symbolism
Each colour has its own symbolism, with the white representing the climate of Aurivizh and the wisdom of the Aurivizht people. It also represents the Christian religion. The black represents strength, unity and history, especially the dark age of the Aurivizht Republic. The ermine, based on the winter coat of a stoat, is an ethnic symbol of the Aurivizht people.

The flag of the Aurivizht State of Bouenezenn is heavily based on the flag of Aurivizh, using a closely related ermine.
