The Caerlanni Free State (Caerlanni Mealliagian: Saorstát Caerlannach) was a provisional revolutionary government established on 12 December 1972 following the Dúnradh Takeover, a pivotal event in the Caerlanni War for Independence. Formed under the leadership of Ronan Luathach and the Caerlanni Liberation Group, it declared itself the legitimate government of Caerlannach, replacing the Protectorate of Caerlannach, a dependency of the Goutian Empire. Later governed as a transitional government based on principles of deconstructual anarchism, the Free State aimed to dismantle governmental structures while fostering a decentralized system of governance.
The state signed the Treaty of Fjallaverji in February 1976, which marked the end of active hostilities with the Goutian Empire and solidified its de facto independence. However, the state's provisional nature and the divergent interests of its tribal and revolutionary factions led to its eventual transition on 11 January 1977, ushering in the Deconstructional Period and the further evolution of Caerlannach's political landscape.
