At the time of his birth his father was the eldest of the [[Aayan Empire|Aaya]] ancestral kings, due to this he had a claim to the holy lands. This claim later transferred to Raj as he grew older.

King Raj I (c 18 October 1003 - 5 December 1035) was the first king of a united Mahana from 1003 to his death in 1035. Founder of the Napushi Dynasty, Raj came into power following the victory in the Kurulan Crusades by the Kurula Dynasty.
