Visionary Ideal of Nuevalta

The visionary ideal of Nuevalta based on the synergy of innovation, creativity, and human progress is the core concept of the Free City and the very reason of its existence, leading to the 2024 independance. This concept is founded on the belief that art, science, and technology can converge to create a sublime and revolutionary society. Nuevalta aims to be a haven for bold and creative minds, rejecting old conventions and obsolete systems. By adopting a poetic and heroic mindset, the City encourages social, artistic, and technological evolutions that transcend the limits of everyday life.

Individual emancipation is at the heart of this philosophy, with policies and initiatives that ensure independence from social and state pressures. Continuous citizen participation is valued, with each individual encouraged to actively contribute to the nation's political and social life.

Government Structure of Nuevalta

The government of Nuevalta is structured to encourage active citizen participation while fostering innovation and creativity. Here are the main government bodies:

  1. The Vate:
    • The Vate is the visionary leader of Nuevalta, a model of creativity and innovation. Initially endowed with extensive powers to face the present situation, the Vate's role is intended to evolve into a moral magistracy as the nation stabilizes, even though he is not formaly obliged to. As for now, little is known about this man.
  2. The Council of the Future:
    • Composed of 12 members elected from visionary citizens and 12 chosen by the Vate, this council represents various fields (science, art, technology, philosophy) and proposes innovative projects to be voted. It oversees their implementation and advises the Vate, but could also inform the public opinion whenever it is judged necessary.
  3. The House of Commons:
    • Comprises representatives from Nuevalta's districts/quarters. It debates and votes on laws, ensuring local representation.
  4. The House of Corporations:
    • Includes representatives from various corporations, elected for 5 years, ensuring the development of their specific sectors. They advise the Vate and participate in public debates.
  5. Purple and Cinabre Assemblies:
    • Purple Assembly: Consists of visionary nobles, acting as guardians of visionary ideals and ensuring laws align with these ideals.
    • Cinabre Assembly: All citizens can participate in debates and votes on major decisions during special sessions held several times a year.
  6. The Sinople Court:
    • Composed of jurists and constitutionalists, it addresses breaches of the Constitution and ensures the protection of citizens' rights. It is petitioned by institutions or citizens of Nuevalta but also benefits from mandatory watchdogs in each institution or massive-organisation.

This government structure is designed to be fluid, inclusive, and highly participatory, allowing every citizen of Nuevalta to play an active role in the construction and evolution of the nation.

Citizenship in Nuevalta

Nature of Citizenship

Citizenship in Nuevalta is uniquely defined by its commitment to the principles of innovation, creativity, and human progress. It is not merely a legal status but an active and participatory role in the life of the nation. Each citizen is encouraged to contribute to the community through their creative and intellectual endeavors, embodying the ideals of Vision. As so, it is not hereditary and every appliants has to show his wilingness and abilities to embody the visionnarism, by making the demand and passing some tests. Many people are living in the City while not possessing the citizenship, they are called Metekois and benefit from all the common rights but also some political ones, as a way to integrate them in they ever want to.

Emancipation and Responsibility

Citizenship in Nuevalta is grounded in the concept of individual emancipation. Citizens are expected to exercise autonomy of thought and action, free from undue social or state pressures. This freedom is coupled with a strong sense of responsibility and partnership towards the collective progress of society. The specific education plays a crucial role in this, equipping citizens with the knowledge and skills needed to innovate and lead.

Participation and Inclusivity

Active participation is a cornerstone of Nuevaltan citizenship. Citizens are not just passive recipients of state policies but are actively involved in decision-making processes. This is facilitated through various assemblies and councils where citizens can debate and vote on important issues, event at the scale of a building. Inclusivity is ensured by making these platforms accessible to all, regardless of their background or status. Some elections (among the buildings and districts) are even accessible to metekois.

Demographics

Religion

The City of Nuevalta advocates for a secular and inclusive approach to religion, supporting none of them. While the nation respects freedom of worship and the diversity of beliefs, it focuses on individual emancipation and freedom of thought. Religious practices are encouraged to remain in the private sphere, while the State focuses on humanistic and rational principles to guide its policies and actions. Little of the founders and revolutionnaries belong to any church, they rather believe in the Futur or some personnal esoteric mix.

Health

Nuevalta places great importance on public health by establishing a universal, free, and accessible healthcare system for all citizens. The emphasis on prevention is primarily for economic reasons, as it reduces long-term costs by avoiding severe diseases, the state couldn't treat. Regular awareness campaigns, local doctors, compulsory periodic health checks, and modern, well-equipped medical infrastructure are at the core of this policy. The nation also invests in medical research and cutting-edge technologies to continually improve the quality of care while making some profit, but this politic is difficult, due to the lack of employees and funds, as well as the relative isolation.

Education

Education is a fundamental pillar of Nuevalta. The education system is secular, free, and compulsory, inspired by progressive methods such as Montessori for early years. It emphasizes the development of free, creative, and visionary individuals capable of critical thinking and innovation. Foreign languages, arts, sciences, and technologies are prominently featured in the curriculum, with a national digital library accessible to all to promote continuous learning. This system is designed to instill the values of the City of Nuevalta and prepare citizens to actively contribute to society, in line with the ideals of progress and innovation. At the end of High-School, students pass two tests: the first one while easy for them, is praised for its difficulty and allow them to be recognized in many foreign nations, the other ones, aimed at intellectual or practical skills allows the pursue of studies in upper education.
