Sostynak is a state in the northern region of The Incorporated States of Cashar. It is bordered by the North Oriental Ocean to the north, the state of Kalak to the east, the state of Sanatvo to the southwest, and the state of Shakal to the south. Its capital city is Karaz.

Etymology

The state of Sostynak's name has a somewhat indeterminate origin and meaning as it is thought that it might be a combination of words from two different languages: Monetok and a language possibly native to a Paran Desert tribe. Part of what makes the meaning difficult to ascertain is whether the Monetok word "nak" or "ak" is being used. "Nak" means "place" and "ak" means "sharp." It's possible the Monetok word "so" is being used here which means "light." Sty or styn, if these are indeed the words being used, are the parts which linguistic scholars debate about. Modern Cashari have generally translated the state of Sostynak to mean "highlight" or "spotlight" of the "place" (Cashar).
