Its closest neighbours are [[Seylos]] in the east, [[Ashington]] to the south, and [[Egris]] in the west. To the north lies the [[Dolch Sea]]. Northport is the capital and largest city. The country is home to 3,150,000 Astarians.

Astaria is a {{wp|semi-direct democracy}}, led by President Rona Fallon. The country gained its independence from the Kingdom of [[Ashington]] in 1742, and has been charting its own course ever since. The country was impacted quite badly by the events of the [[Sentist War]]. In 2021, it became a founding member of the [[North Adlantic Union]].
