Sostynak is a state in the northern region of The Incorporated States of Cashar. It is bordered by the North Oriental Ocean to the north, the state of Qatlek to the east, the state of Centavo to the southwest, and the state of Shakel to the south. Its capital city is Curzen.
Etymology
The state of Sostynak's name has a somewhat indeterminate origin and meaning as it is thought that it might be a combination of words from two different languages: Monetok and a language possibly native to a Paran Desert tribe. Part of what makes the meaning difficult to ascertain is whether the Monetok word "nak" or "ak" is being used. "Nak" means "place" and "ak" means "sharp." It's possible the Monetok word "so" is being used here which means "light." Sty or styn, if these are indeed the words being used, are the parts which linguistic scholars debate about. Modern Cashari have generally translated the state of Sostynak to mean "highlight" or "spotlight" of the "place" (Cashar).
