Legislature

The Parliament of Malskia is bicameral, being elected once every 5 years. It consists of the Senate, which is the upper house, and Sejm, which is the lower house.

Sejm

The Sejm (literally meaning "Council") has 240 seats and is directly elected using the D'Hondt method in 12 multi-mandate constituencies. The executive is answerable to the Sejm and only Sejm can pass a motion of no confidence in order to call for a snap election.

Senate

The Senate has 100 seats and is divided into three groups. Those groups are 65-seats-large group, named the "United Caucus of the Commons", which is elected by the populace using first-past-the-post voting, the 25-seats-large Noble Caucus Assembled, which is hereditary, and the 10-seats-large Science Caucus Assembled, which is elected by workers of multiple research institutes and universities.
