The Ministry of Defence’s purpose is to protect PyeMcGowan and its territories, it does not specifically foresee conflict, but observes Terrorism, Failing and Failed States And Human Rights Abuses, and decides whether it should intervene. The Ministry was formed in 1789, but modernised in 1960, following the Communist Takeover of PyeMcGowan. The current Minister for Defence is William Hampton, a Former general in the Army. The Organisation has been operating in the King Wendover Centre, in Outer Charleston, since the building's construction in 1976.

The Ministry is composed of 5 branches The Royal PyeMcGowian Army, Royal PyeMcGowian Navy, Royal PyeMcGowian Air Force, Royal PyeMcGowian Marines and the PyeMcGowian Security Agency along with its child agencies. All of these branches are represented, in the PyeMcGowian Cabinet along with the PyeMcGowian Chamber of National Intrests, by their leader, or for less urgent matters a delegate will be used.

Army

The PyeMcGowian Army consists of around 80,000 Active Volunteers and around 20,000 reserve personnel. The Army currently operates 200 active fighting vehicles, along with 300 out of use but still operational. The Army is Currently headed by General Harvey Ramston, a Former Officer who worked his way up the ranks during The Jones Island Crisis of 1960. The Army is praised by the populace for their mandatory training in the far north, where it reaches -20 degrees Celsius!

Air Force

The Air force currently consists of 75 Aircraft (that The Government has confirmed), 15,000 active personnel and another 15 thousand in reserve. The Air Force was founded in 1915 when it consisted of five biplanes with 12 pilots who spent a majority of their time waiting for the engineers to figure out what they were fixing and refuelling. The modern air force is led by Air Marshal Earl Axton Shrewston of Llanawyr he became Air Marshall after his predecessor died in the Hindsburg AFB Disaster.

Navy

The PyeMcGowian Navy is fiercely loyal to the crown and have 35 confirmed vessels, consisting of the navy’s shining glory, it’s 2 aircraft carriers, The PNS Laddalman and the new PNS Tylluan. The Navy has 20,000 active sailors and 15,000 reserve personnel. The PyeMcGowian Navy is the dominant force in the Auraid Bay and conducts joint training missions with Alenveil. The Force is headed by Fleet Admiral Lord John Wessex of Llanwess.
