Deltannia (Old Buranic: Dalmark) is the northernmost nation of Europa on Eurth. It is located entirely on the Parnu peninsula, surrounded by the Argic Ocean to the north, Gulf of Lanjon to the east, Kosscow Sea to the south, and Sea of Storms to the west. In the southeast it borders Volsci, the country's only landbordering neighbour.
Etymology
Formerly known as Telmark. And the "t" changed to a "d". Telmark -> Delmark -> Deltannia
The name Telemark means the "mark of the Thelir", the ancient North Germanic tribe that inhabited what is now known as Upper Telemark in the Migration Period and the Viking Age. – from Telemark, Norvay

History
The Deltans share a common history with its northern Buran neighbours. Deltannia is a nation known for its long history, backed by a powerful navy. Its people have long since been regarded as revolutionaries, looking towards the future with open arms, prepared to do their duty when called upon.[1]
- 500s BCE: Not much is known about the area. Part of Buranian clanlands. Only mentioned in Aroman sources as a source of resources.
- 500s CE: Dalrik Kingdom or Telemark ("mark of the Thelir"). Include a line of Fisher Kings.
- Deltannia is the northern part. The Old Norse form of the name was Þelamörk or Þilamörk. The first element; Þilir was the name of the inhabitants, and is assumed to be connected with Þelli (pine). The last element mörk means forest or march
- And Tal Shiar is the southern part. The name comes from Del + South / Sur / Syd.
- 1000s: Early exploration of the Storm Sea and Adlantic Ocean.
- 1500s:
- 1800s:
- 1900s: During the early century, the Deltannian Federation was annexed by the then expanding Volsci Republic. The Sabellic language then replaced the Deltan language, and as a result, only older generations understand it, creating a communication barrier with the younger generations.
- 1959: The nation was able to establish self-proclaimed independence during the internal Volscian power struggle.
Politics
Government
(Deltannia is a republic. Leading political parties. President Verner Træsko of the Free Democratic Party. Executive branch. Legislative branch. Judicial branch. Short bit about local politics. Important stances and laws.)
Foreign relations
Deltannia has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country, they will have to become citizens first. Deltannia believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Deltannia will not make deals with another country that has a history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.
Military
International observers consider Deltannia to be an aggressive country.[citation needed] Some say has an itch for war.[citation needed] The government believes nuclear weapons are necessary for the security of its people. The military of Deltannia has been positioned at all border crossings and to arrest drug traffickers. Deltannia allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers.
Economy
Its technology is first-rate and its citizens marvel at the astonishing advancements within their nation. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Deltannia work diligently to produce Gems and Coal as tradable resources for their nation.
