The Constitution of Littland outlines a federal republic consisting of seven autonomous federal states (Delstater). Both the federation and all its states have written constitutions defining them as republican entities governed according to the principles of representative democracy. The Constitution a separation of powers into executive, legislative, and judicial branches. The executive branch consists of the "neutral" Federal President as head of state and the Prime Minister who is the head of government.
