The Fravi Rose Forces (Lysian: Forces Rose de Fravina) are the military forces of the Republic of Fravina, comprising the Fravi Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Grand Chief of the Fravi Rose Forces is the President of Fravina, currently President Bernard Beaumont. The military forces operate under the direction of the Secretary of Defense and War, presently Helene Puissance.

The Fravi Rose Forces play a vital role in maintaining the security and sovereignty of the Republic of Fravina. They stand ready to defend the nation and its interests at home and abroad. Their motto, "Fort Comme Un", encapsulates their collective strength and commitment to service.

History

The Fravi Rose Forces were organized on 13 May 1939, as a loose collective of socialist and liberal military units who supported Jacques de Mercy in the escalating Second Civil War. On 17 June 1949, during the negotations following victory in the war, they were restructured into their current form. Currently, the forces are divided into three separate branches: the Fravi Army, the Fravi Navy, and the Fravi Air Force. In the decades since, the Navy has often been considered the most vital instrument of state power.

Structure and Leadership

The Fravi Rose Forces are divided into three primary service branches: the Fravi Army, the Fravi Navy, and the Fravi Air Force. Each branch is tasked with a specific area of defence and is provided with the equipment and training needed to execute those tasks efficiently and effectively. The army is commmanded by the Grand General, the navy by the Grand Admiral, and the air force by the Grand Marshall. Currently, these positions are filled by Marcel de Mercy, Edmond Confiant, and Lucien Martin, respectively.

At the top of the leadership chain of the Fravi Rose Forces is the Grand Chief, a position currently held by President Bernard Beaumont. The operational and administrative activities are managed by the Secretary of Defense and War, presently Helene Puissance.

Manpower and service

Military service in Fravina is voluntary, with citizens being able to enlist in the armed forces from the age of 16 to 65. Conscription, while a part of Fravi law, has been inactive since 2016. As of current data, the Fravi Rose Forces consist of 749,400 active personnel. In addition, there is a reserve force of 3,811,730 individuals, prepared to serve in the scenario of conscription reactivation.

Military service is open to both men and women. However, only men are allowed to serve in combat roles.

Budget

The Fravi Rose Forces operate on a budget of $22.7 billion, which represents 5.22% of Fravina's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This budget allocation underlines the importance that Fravina places on its defence and military readiness.

Ranks and Insignia

The Fravi Rose Forces utilise a specific system of ranks and insignia. This system ensures a clear hierarchy within the forces and provides a visual representation of each service member's rank and role.
