The Kingdom of Ahran or Ahran is a member state to the United Kingdom of Ahrana along with four other Member State Kingdoms that make up the Union. Ahran is considered to be the location of the first Kingdom that the current United Kingdom of Ahrana derives most of its Governmental History from. Today, Ahran is a equal member of the Union and due to its long standing history it is considered the most senior member state besides the lands of Xara.

Government

The Government of the Kingdom of Ahran is set up for the Regional Level with the Diarchs of the United Kingdom being the Queens of the Ahran Throne per their birthrights. At the Regional Level the Diarchs are represented by a Governor-General who acts as the Regional Head of State with a Prime Minister being the Regional Head of Government. The Regional Government has an executive council of Ministers and Special Advisors to both the Governer-General and Prime Minister. The Kingdom of Ahran has a Regional Parliament made up of One Hundred and Ninty-Five (195) Members of Parliament elected during the Federal Parliamentary Mid-Terms (Every Two Years) and Chancellery Elections (two years after Parliamentary Mid-Terms).

Governor-General

The Governor-General of the Kingdom of Ahran, much like the rest of the Governor-General Offices across the Union, is a Representative of the Diarchs that are appointed to represent the Diarchs in all Regional Matters as Regional Head of State. The Governor-General has the ability to sign or reject any law passed by the Regional Parliament, levy Regional Taxes, Dismiss the Prime Minister and their Executive Council, call for fresh Regional Parliamentary Elections, and oversee the operation of the Regional Member State internally.

The Governor-General must meet some qualifications before they can be appointed by the Diarchs to the office of Governor-General. The basic requirement for office is to be an Ahranaian National or Citizen, no criminal recorded, and has resided within the territory of the United Kingdom for four years prior to office appointment. The Governor-General serves at the pleasure of the Diarchs or until either the People or Parliament call for the resignation of the Governor-General.

Prime Minister

The Prime Minister is the elected official from the party with the most seats in the Regional Parliament to a five-year term or until a vote of no confidence or the Governor-General calls for fresh elections or the resigination of the Regional Executive Counicl.

Deputy Minister

The Deputy Minister is the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, the one who fills in the Office of Prime Minister if the Prime Minister is unable to perform the duties of office for a limited time or is convicted while in office, in which case the Deputy Minister serves till an election can be held.
