Following his graduation from high school in 1971 he immediately enlisted for the Mahanan armed forces. After being rejected from the harsh [[Durkha]] regiment, he joined the [[Mahanan Royal Army]] and joined the [[Misra Dynasty|Misra Helper's Party]] in 1975. As tensions began to rise, Bastola left the Helper's Party to take position as strategist for the [[Assembled Nations]] Defence Force in 1982. During this time, [[Bastola]] was living abroad in [[Iwenland]] where he learned to speak fluent {{wp|English Language|Anglish}} and {{wp|Dutch Language|Eiwenish}}. After helping convincing victory during the [[Mahanan Civil War]] through the [[Assembled Nations Mission in Mahana]], Bastola took position back in the Mahanan government as General Chief of the Mahanan Army. He maintained this position until 2012, where he stepped down for a less consuming position as [[Chief of Military Strategy]].

Ranju Bastola (born,Ranju Mukta Niyogi Bastola; 12 December 1954) (Mahanan: रञ्जु बाँस्तोल) is a Mahanan politician and former army strategist who has been the Prime Minister of Mahana since 2021 and as vice-president of the Mahanan Congress since 2020. He described himself as "right of centre, with a strong social emphasis".

Born in Veydu to a military family, he was raised speaking both Mahanan and Ramil, with a Mahanan father and a Koto mother. Following his graduation from high school in 1971 he immediately enlisted for the Mahanan armed forces. After being rejected from the harsh Durkha regiment, he joined the Mahanan Royal Army and joined the Misra Helper's Party in 1975. As tensions began to rise, Bastola left the Helper's Party to take position as strategist for the Assembled Nations Defence Force in 1982. During this time, Bastola was living abroad in Iwenland where he learned to speak fluent Anglish and Eiwenish. After helping convincing victory during the Mahanan Civil War through the Assembled Nations Mission in Mahana, Bastola took position back in the Mahanan government as General Chief of the Mahanan Army. He maintained this position until 2012, where he stepped down for a less consuming position as Chief of Military Strategy.
