Onotech Corporation is an Orinese multinational technology corporation.[2] It is a leading competitor in glubal technological advancement of computer software, consumer electronics, and online services. Onotech's corporate headquarters are located in Zuidhaven, Orioni. It works in close partnership with the Zuidhaven Institute of Technology. Onotech was founded on February 19, 1999 .[3] The current CEO is Stefani Werk; its vice president is Bill Lumbergh, who graduated from ZIT with a BS in physics.
Sponsorship
Onotech is the titular sponsor of the Orinese Premier League, the top association football division in Orioni. Since 2014, Onotech also owns the Zuidhaven International Circuit, which it bought from Universal Exports, a shipping company. The circuit hosts racing events, including the prestigious Orinese Grand Prix, which is part of the KAP World Grand Prix.
Criticism and controversies
Onotech has been criticized for its involvement in financial schemes. Several disgruntled employees infected Onotech's accounting system with a computer virus. This virus repeatedly diverted tiny amounts of money into a bank account. These transactions were small enough to avoid detection, while producing a substantial amount of money that would be illegal to steal all at once. The company was alerted to the abuse by inspectors from the Council of the Treasury. Unfortunately, a building fire destroyed all evidence. One employee suspected of being involved in this scheme fled to Mauridiviah, a country that has no extradition treaty nor agreement with Orioni.
According to anonymous reports, several staff members reportedly suffer under “top-heavy, callous management”, especially from Onotech's vice president Bill Lumbergh.[citation needed]
