Knowing the ways of the sea from an early age, he embarked upon a career in the Orinese navy. In 1981, he married Jīnesi Shinikuriti; in 1983 she died of {{wp|ovarian cancer}}, and he was deeply affected by her death. There exist persistent rumours that Ramius had an extramarital affair with [[Hensei Nabérrie]], and that he is the actual father of [[Toren Nabérrie]].{{Citation needed}}

The Who's Who in Orioni is a collection of concise biographical references. It has been used by academics as a resource that identifies leading Orinese individuals and has been analysed when studying the social backgrounds – particularly education – of Orioni's elites. The Who's Who reference is currently published by Crown Content, a reference publishing company owned by the Empire State University.

Criteria

People are included if they have significantly contributed to Orioni life on a national or international level. They are Orinese people who have built a positive profile over time. Some people are considered to be significant politicians or business leaders, cultural contributors, names in sports and entertainment, etc.

There are no restrictions on age or sex, and entrants need not be born in Orioni. Each person's nomination is considered on its merits alone, and entry in the book cannot be paid for. The book is a snapshot of Orioni society at a particular point in time.
